About Us

AACA was established in 2001 and incorporated in 2010 with the mission of providing a platform to help the community grow and prosper in a way that will be pleasing to the residents as well as new people wanting to live in small town America.

AACA currently has 15 members.

Membership is comprised of businesses and individual residents of the Avella area.

Membership Information

If would like to join us in our effort to continue improving the Avella Area, become a member of the AACA.

Annual Membership Fees:

Business - $50.00

Adult (18 yrs and older) - $20.00

Junior (under 18 yrs) - $5.00 - May participate in meetings and provide volunteer work, which can support graduation community service requirements

Membership dues may be paid by cash or check and are tax deductible charitable donations.

Projects

AACA Past Projects include:

- Business Fair

- Farmers Market

- Purchased New Christmas Lights

- Paid for installation of the electric lines for the Christmas Lights

AACA Current Projects include:

- Community Clean Up

- Restoration of Lincoln National Bank

- Increase Participation in Hometown Revitalization

- Continuous identification of community improvement projects

- Doddridge Cementary maintenance

- Student Support - AACA has and will continue to provide volunteer opportunities for those needing community service hours in order to meet education requirements

- Annually hanging the community Christmas Lights as well as incurring the cost of the electric and continued maintenance of the lights

AACA Future Projects include:

- Holiday "Lights for Christmas" Festival

- Making low cost business space available in the restored Lincoln National Bank building providing new business opportunities

Volunteer Opportunities

All of our members volunteer to help in special ways that interest them.

We are looking for volunteers in all areas:

- Area Development

- Beautification and Clean Up

- Preservation of Historical Sites

- Organizing Programs, Speakers, Workshops

- Publicity

- Special Events

- Fundraising activities

All volunteers are welcome and any help no matter how minimal is appreciated.

Volunteer work can be used in support of volunteer requirements for educational purposes.
